Listed because each one could be traced to a primary source on the date shown. That is a check on who they are, not a recommendation — it says nothing about the quality of anyone's work. Use the questions below before you hire.

Where you stand

What the rules say

Replacement windows and doors must meet the Building Regulations. Registered installers self-certify and register the installation; unregistered ones must go through Building Control.

How to check

Both FENSA and CERTASS have free postcode searches, and they are competing schemes covering the same work — so check both before concluding anything. FENSA also lets you look up whether a past installation at your address was registered.

What to ask for

The certificate for the installation, not just the installer's membership. You will need it when you sell.

Worth knowing. If no certificate is registered, a buyer's solicitor will ask about it years later and it becomes your problem, not the installer's.
