No tutors & childcare listed yet
Nothing is listed here because nothing has been verified yet — not because there is nobody good. The guidance below applies either way, and if you run a business in this trade covering Horsforth, do get in touch.
What the rules say
Anyone caring for under-eights for more than two hours a day for reward must be Ofsted-registered. Private tutoring has no register at all.
How to check
For childcare, ask the provider for their Ofsted URN and look it up — Ofsted suppresses childminders' names and addresses from public search, so you cannot find them by postcode, only verify one you already know.

What to ask for
For tutors, ask what subjects and levels they actually teach and how they were taught themselves. For anyone working with children, ask about a DBS check — while knowing what comes next.
